About Forest Foot Care
My name is Gillian Bryan and I am a Foot Health Practitioner. My background has been in nursing with a varied career, starting out on a surgical ward, and then spending several years in Respiratory Care, before working as a specialist Inpatient Diabetes nurse.
I then moved out to the community, working with local GP surgeries to help look after housebound and elderly patients in their own homes. I helped manage a range of conditions such as, Diabetes, Heart Failure, Frailty, Dementia, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
Having worked in the community for a number of years, I could see the benefits of providing a home visiting service, to offer bespoke foot care. With a background as a Specialist Diabetic Nurse, I am aware of the importance of foot care for people with Diabetes, and the possible complications that can arise.
We can all underestimate the hard work our feet do for us on a daily basis, often only realising this when problems occur. I aim to give information and support, in order for clients to have a greater understanding and confidence to manage their foot conditions, and bring greater comfort to their everyday life.
I am fully trained and insured by The SMAE Institute, and I will be covering areas in and around Tunbridge Wells, Kent with a home visiting service.

What happens at your home visit
The first visit includes taking a full medical history and neurovascular assessment of your feet, as well as a discussion where you can outline your foot concerns. We will then explore options and begin a treatment plan.
I will always provide necessary referrals to podiatry/chiropody or your GP if your foot care needs exceed the scope of a foot health practitioner.
Payment is requested at the end of the appointment either by cash, cheque or BACS payment.
All instruments are packaged in sets and sterilised by autoclave, following strict infection control guidelines.
